Falling in Love with Humanity
We are so often still little kids inside. Like Sheldon, we continue to hold the same assumptions that we had when we were five: if I find something vexing or astonishing, then everyone else will as well - or at least they should. Sometimes of course this leads to ways of treating ourselves and one another that are tragic. But most of the time, I’m guessing, it’s just part of our quirkiness. And if we can take just half a step back and observe one another with a sense of fullness and compassion, the humanity we see in each other tugs at our hearts and we know again what it means to adore another human being.
